The quintet compositions were all experiments. Some were received well, and some didn't work so well. The first movt. of the Three for Five could use some re-work some day. The second movt. was intended as a farce. But, the third movt. was played frequently and was received well.
Nickel Rag was fun and played frequently.
Tango is difficult. Off-set rhythms, modulations, and a fugue section. Road map can be confusing. Fun but good luck. But I thought is was worth it.
